Itinerary
DAY : 1 PICKUP FROM BAGDOGRA AIRPORT AND TRANSFER TO PHUENTSHOLING

(Distance 145 kms | Driving time : 4 hrs)

  • Arrive at Bagdogra Airport (IXB), and proceed towards Phuentsholing.

  • Arrive Phuentsholing, check In to your hotel and freshen up.

  • Check out your locality in Phuentsholing and try local cuisines or simply relax in the charismatic environment.

  • Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.

DAY : 2 TRANSFER TO THIMPHU, ON THE WAY SIGHTSEEING, STAY IN THIMPHU

(Distance 160 kms | Driving time : 5 hrs)

  • After a breakfast, checkout from the hotel.

  • After immigration proceed towards Thimphu.

  • Enjoy this beautiful journey through the beautiful landscapes of Land of Thunder Dragon.

  • Arrive Thimphu by evening and Check In to your hotel.

  • Leisure time in the evening.

  • Overnight stay in Thimphu.

DAY : 3 THIMPHU SIGHTSEEING, STAY IN THIMPHU

 

  • After breakfast proceed for Thimphu local sightseeing.

  • Visit Buddha Dordenma Statue: a place for refreshing with a huge statue of Buddha on the top of the Kuensel Phodrang, 

  • The National Memorial Chorten Stupas: The chorten or stupa was built in the memory of the third king.

  • Takin Zoo: the national animal of Bhutan can be seen here.

  • Changangkha Lhakhang: Oldest surviving temple in Thimphu

  • Simply Bhutan Museum: You get to experience the traditions and household rituals of Bhutan in this museum.

  • Come back to the hotel by evening. Dinner and overnight stay.

DAY : 4 THIMPHU TO PUNAKHA SIGHTSEEING, STAY IN PUNAKHA

 

  • After breakfast drive to Punakha.

  • Visit Dochula-Pass: (3150 mts.) a beautiful mountain pass, which is a concentration of 108 memorial stupas.

  • Arrive Punakha, Check In to your hotel.

  • Headout for Punakha Sightseeing

  • Punakha Dzong - is second oldest dzong in Bhutan. Until the mid-1950s it served as the capital and seat of government.

  • Punakha Suspension Bridge: It is one of the longest and oldest suspension bridges in Bhutan.

  • Come back to your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Punakha.

DAY : 5 PHOBJIKHA VALLEY DAY EXCURSION, STAY IN PUNAKHA

(Distance 75 kms | Driving Time: 2.5 hrs)

  • After breakfast drive to Phobjikha Valley.

  • Visit Gangtey Goemba: The 17th century monastery, Gangtey Gompa, is dramatically situated at the head of the valley and is inhabited by the monks during the summer months.

  • Black-necked cranes - Watch rare black-necked cranes which migrate from the high plains of the Tibetan plateau in winter to the milder climate of Phobjikha.

  • Come back to your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Punakha.

 

DAY : 6 PUNAKHA TO PARO, STAY IN PARO

 

  • After breakfast drive to Paro..

  • Arrive Paro Check In to your hotel.

  • Dinner and overnight stay in Paro.

DAY : 7 TREKKING TO TIGER’S NEST AND OVERNIGHT STAY IN PARO

(Total Distance  6.4 kms | Time: 3-5 hrs | Altitude: 10,245 FT Elevation: 900 mtr)

  • After breakfast, proceed to Tiger’s Nest. 

  • Hiking to Tiger’s Nest Monastery. which clings to a cliff 3,000 feet above the valley floor.

  • Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche) flew to this location on the back of a tiger in the 8th century.

  • Guru Rinpoche introduced Buddhism to their country, and the Taktsang Monastery is one of the principal pilgrimage destinations in Bhutan. 

  • After trekking you can enjoy Hot Stone Bath at countryside.

  • Dinner and overnight stay in Paro.

 

DAY : 8 PARO TO CHELE-LA PASS DAY EXCURSION, STAY IN PARO

(Paro to chele-la pass distance: 30 kms | Driving time : 1 hr)

  • After breakfast proceed towards Chele La Pass. 

  • Chele La Pass is located at an altitude of 13,000 feet and it is the highest motorable road pass in Bhutan.

  • The pass is famous for the stunning Himalayan views it offers, especially Mt. Jomolhari which is Bhutan’s most sacred peak at 22,000 feet.

  • Chele La Pass is also a hot spot for flora & fauna.

  • Afternoon drive back to Paro 

  • Overnight stay in Paro..

DAY : 9 PARO LOCAL SIGHTSEEING, STAY IN PHUENTSHOLING

(Paro to Phuentsholing distance: 148 kms | Driving T: 4.5 hrs)

  • After breakfast proceed towards Paro local sightseeing

  • Ta Dzong – National Museum of Bhutan

  • Rinpung Dzong- Popularly known as, Paro Dzong is situated in the Paro Valley.

  • Afternoon drive to Phuentsholing with stopovers and enjoying the scenic beauty. 

  • Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.

DAY : 10 TRANSFER FROM PHUENTSHOLING TO BAGDOGRA AIRPORT

(Distance 145 kms | Driving time : 4 hrs)

  • After breakfast checkout from Hotel
  • Depart for Bagdogra Airport for the onward journey
